Teaching has always been a passion of mine.
I began teaching in the Chicago area after getting my degree in English Literature and Secondary Education in 2001. After teaching there for years, I moved to Lynchburg, Virginia, where my sister and I co-founded a school for homeschooling families called Onward Christian Academy. I taught there for seven years while getting my master’s degree at Liberty and eventually became a licensed professional counselor. I look forward to being a teacher again when I become a University Professor in a counseling program after completing my CES Ph.D. I have enjoyed the opportunities I have had to teach as a doctoral student in my internships and other classes and aim to keep my lessons informative, interactive, engaging, and interesting.
